Getting Started

For Pilots​

  1. Ask your Virtual Airline for the crew center URL.
  2. Install dotACARS Free on Windows.
  3. Open dotACARS Free.
  4. Enter the Virtual Airline URL.
  5. Enter your Pilot ID or e-mail and password.
  6. Click Check Connection.
  7. Click Login.
  8. Select the simulator source after login.
  9. Reserve a bid in the crew center.
  10. Click Import Bid.
  11. Start your simulator at the departure airport.
  12. Click Start Flight.
  13. After landing, click End Flight.
  14. Click Send Flight.

For Virtual Airline Administrators​

Use the Server folder from the official server package.

phpVMS 5:

Server/phpVMS5/upload/acars

Upload acars to the public phpVMS 5 crew center.

phpVMS 7:

Server/phpVMS7/DotAcars

Upload DotAcars to <phpVMS root>/modules/DotAcars, enable it in Admin > Addons/modules, run the phpVMS updater, then configure it in Admin > dotACARS.

For phpVMS 7, pilots do not need a va_config.php. They enter the crew center URL and the app auto-detects /api/dotacars/status.
